Nice Combo

This was a good use of a computer and acoustics. I really like this song, but there are parts where it jumps all over different BPMs. That, or the strumming just wasn't done in a traditional pattern I guess. Besides that, my only quarrel is it was to short!! I also wish you did more with the strings, but this song is lovely. I swear man, you have real talent! You are quite the inspiration for guitarists! All your stuff is really simple, but sounds very professional musically.

I won't be surprised if I hear your songs in a movie or two within the next few years.

Haha yeah its probably just irregular strumming. I was really winging this when i recorded it. One of those things where it just kind of came together. I really hope some of this stuff does make it into some toons or projects would be really great to see how they are used! Haha thanks for the kind review man ill do my best to keep it up!

Love it!!

Very nice man!! Your vocals sound pretty nice in this!! It sound like Iron and Wine, and this is a very good thing. Wow...this song is just great. I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record, but you captures something in this. Some sort of innocence that is very comforting. If you wrote an album with like ten songs along these lines, I would pay like $10, $15 on iTunes for sure. Keep it up man, I can't wait to hear more stuff from you. I'm gonna PM btw.

This was played well, but not recorded well. Everything but the beat sounds really far away. I felt like I was listening to it fro across a room. But...nice choice in song to cover, and like I said, you played it well.

I love this so much! This is has to be your best work! I would love to hear this expanded on. Not only was the musicality brilliant, but whatever you used to record it is amazing quality as well. Were those real strings!? If not what did ou use? They sound so sweet and warm.

It's just some Garritan samples made to go with Finale. Garritan did a good job with strings, but not such a nice job with Brass and such, so I often stick with strings with their sounds now.

Vocals >_>

I like this but the vocals really brought it down. Some nice deep, breathy vocals would suite this song really well. Or some Goo Goo Dolls style raspy'ish singing maybe. Other than that, great song.

I know you said constructive criticism only, so keep in mind I'm not trying to mean.

This song is pretty bad. The brass was off key half the time and sounded flat. Almost like whoever was playing it didn't give a flying #$%! if the world blew up the next second. It's very empty and quite, this sounds horrible but this song sounds like a joke to me.

I know you said it was made in your free time, well, it deff shows.

I'm sorry I can't offer any points on how to make it better, just remember I'm not making fun of you. Just being honest.

Yep. That's the problem with recording after half a summer of not doing anything. ;)

By brass, what do you mean, the trombone part or the baritone or both? I know we both discovered after recording the piano that the baritone was desperately out of tune. All of its tuning slides had been pushed in during storage for the summer.

And as for horrible... I guess that's all prospective. 90% of the NG community probably only likes modern stuff like pop, rap, rock, etc. Then there are the 5% like me who go obsessive over a good piece of Brahms or a trip to go see Vince Giordano play live. The other 5% could care less as long as they get to zero-bomb everything.

Plus, it was supposed to sound like a joke. Wouldn't you laugh at a five-ton elephant acting like a drunk?
